Challenges

Agora’s Real-Time Engagement 2021 event (RTE2021) was held on the 1st & 2nd of September; its objectives were to highlight the global community of innovators and creators using voice, video, and interactive technologies to build applications and platforms that foster meaningful human connections. This included solutions in gaming, media and entertainment, remote work and collaboration, wellness and fitness, among others. It was only fitting for Agora to design an event seeking to promote engagement, on a platform that is widely acclaimed for its ingenuity in providing event engagement solutions—the InEvent platform.

According to Suzanne Nguyen, the Senior Director of Brand Communications at Agora, the event required an interactive platform venue for speakers and the industry leading experts to talk to the audience and to engage with the audience.
To attain this, Agora needed to create a landing page that would contain all the information about the event. More so, they needed multiple breakout sessions and group rooms to adequately address the focal points of the event, some of which included using engagement tools to build social communities and metaverses, create unique education solutions and revolutionize remote lifestyles through RTE innovations and technologies. They also needed an agenda to keep their attendees abreast with all the activities and sessions they have planned out for the event, whilst ensuring engagement in the highest forms.

The Solution

All these objectives needed to be met, and so, Agora chose InEvent as the go-to platform for its Real-Time Engagement event.
The InEvent platform is always on the frontier of innovating high-end event management and user experience solutions. Agora was able to customize its Virtual Lobby to match their corporate identity, enabling attendees to easily navigate through break out rooms, synchronous sessions, stream on-demand sessions, and network with fellow attendees by scheduling 1:1 meetings.

"They were able to extract some valuable insights on their attendees in the Virtual Lobby Reports feature on the back-end which revealed the duration their attendees spent in the breakout rooms and sessions and a map that tracked birds eye view of their attendees location across continents."

Significantly, they created their event website from scratch using the Pages feature which enabled them to use their own HTML and CSS code. Most of their attendees were uploaded using spreadsheets while other attendees were added using the Marketo integration feature. The Marketo integration was key to one of the reasons why we chose InEvent. We needed a system that would integrate with our Marketo system and it was pretty easy to integrate. Once it was integrated it worked perfectly, and we just love that feature.
Also, they made major use of networking rooms, chats and polls to promote engagement during sessions.

"We could create these networking meeting rooms and the attendees themselves could create the meeting rooms. And we found that most of our attendees just ended up creating these meeting rooms in the spur of the moment and met with each other and networked."
